Search and Destroy vs Apaches

During my Din of Battle 2 playtesting (2007) we fought several early engagements between US cavalry and Apache Indians.

Thought I would share some of the photos. My attempt at some more rugged southwest US terrain.

  2. Thanks! These were just my first Indian games, so I was really trying to figure out the terrain, "formations", and tactics for the period. We had fun with the game. Not sure what happened to all my "in game" photos, but I can't seem to find them.

  3. Great terrain setup - my mates and I used to love playing the wild west game "Pony Wars"

  4. Eric - I love all things Custer. I read everything that comes out, been to the field several times, etc. On my next visit, can we play?!?!?!?!?

  8. 1. Tan felt cloth.
    2. Sprinkle burnt grass.
    3. Sprinkle light tan ballast (fine grains)
    4. Toss around larger tan "rocks" from woodland scenic.
    5. Cactus from Musket Miniatures.
    6. Roads are from Jim Brokaw's old line of "Flex Terrain" (Out of production now)
    7. Teepees from Gettysburg Soldier. They are wonderful.
    8. Buttes are made by Howard Whitehouse. Pick them up from him when he sells them at flea markets (historicon and Siege of Augusta)
