Vendee Battle - River Crossing

This battle was a simulation of the last phases of the Vendee Revolt, with the Vendeans trying to get their large civilian column along with baggage across a major river before Republican reinforcements can arrive.

We had one brigade of Vendeans have a secret deployment, which led to one of the funniest wargame moments I have seen in a while. The Vendean commander wrote down their "secret" deployment in the bocage and hid the paper under the gaming table. About 10 minutes later the French Republican commander says, "what is this?" as my 3 year old Golden Retriever dog handed him the paper with the secret deployment locations of the Vendean troops! You can't make this up! We laughed until our sides hurt. From then on, she has been known as the "Blonde Republican Spy"!

Too much fun!

The figures are from Hal's exceptional 15mm Vendean collection. Rules are Piquet - Les Grognards. Enjoy!

Fantasy Good vs Evil Massive battle

Hi,

Here are some photos from a very large 15mm fantasy battle using Piquet rules. Buildings are from Usborne card stock buildings. Figures from Splintered Light Miniatures, Grenadier, Blood dawn, BRF, and Ral Partha.

This was a battle with a Necromancer command, Satyr Command, and Orc command vs. High Elves, Humans, and Dwarves.

Orcs broke through the Humans in the center and won the battle. Tried to post a ton of photos from this game.

Love this hero figure from Slintered Light Miniatures. Great pose and adds so much to the unit.

Taiping Rebellion - Confrontation Scenario

Here are some in my linear pitting the Taipings versus the Imperial chinese.

This was our biggest battle, with a very large Taiping force fighting a hastily assembled Imperial force.

Rules are Piquet, with 28mm figures from Foundry and Old Glory.

Enjoy!
