Here are some photos from a very large 15mm fantasy battle using Piquet rules. Buildings are from Usborne card stock buildings. Figures from Splintered Light Miniatures, Grenadier, Blood dawn, BRF, and Ral Partha.
This was a battle with a Necromancer command, Satyr Command, and Orc command vs. High Elves, Humans, and Dwarves.
Orcs broke through the Humans in the center and won the battle. Tried to post a ton of photos from this game.
Love this hero figure from Slintered Light Miniatures. Great pose and adds so much to the unit. |
Eric,
ReplyDeleteYou must have every variety of unusual 15mm fantasy warrior ever made. Great painting also!
What do the tile spacers represent? Unloaded?
ReplyDeleteYes, the tile spacers mean unloaded. Smoke doesn't work for this period. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I do have an amazing 15mm fantasy figure collection. I started collecting the Grenadier line back in 1993, so I have had some time to get them together.
Can I ask what paint brand/color you use for your orc skin? I've seen other orcs painted in my more garish greens, with the theory you need to make 15mm stand out more, however I really like how you've painted your orcs. They colors you've used really seem to work together.
ReplyDeleteLet me see if I can find the exact paint color. It has been about 2 years since they were painted.
ReplyDeleteHi Eric, did you find the paint colour?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is "Timberline Green" from Detla. Great looking nasty green.
ReplyDeleteBest 15mm fantasy battles I've ever seen. much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat maker does the guys with horns and blue shields with beast legs and human torso. I've never come across those....
