RevWar - French vs Austrians 1793
We fought this French Revolution battle (15mm) featuring the French Republican Army of Hal Hood and my Austrian Revolution army. I've been collecting my Austrians to fight the bloody Ottomans, but they fill in perfectly to fight Hal's French.
Hal's French Revolution army is pretty amazing and has loads of different figure manufacturers plus all sorts of vignettes. I love when he puts them on the gaming table! Normally, they are fighting the Vendeens, but this time it was my Austrain Army (mostly Chariot Miniatures).
The scenario was fought using Piquet and focused around a mid-battle counter-attack by French forces against a disordered and scattered Austrian line. All my Austrian batteries and Grenzers were disordered to start the battle. Yikes!
This really isn't a true battle report, but rather some nice photos of the game. I should have taken a photo of the original starting locations, but forgot to.

The game was won by the Austrians after the initial French breakthrough pushed the Grenzers back and overran a battery or two. The Austrians weighed in with numbers and smashed the thinned out French center. We hope to play a lot more games for this period. Lesson learned? Don't bring National Guard to a gun fight!

Boxer Rebellion Battle - Stoking the Fire
Hi folks,
Thought I would post a couple teaser photos from my Boxer Rebellion setup that will be played on this weekend. I have eight friends coming over to do battle in this large Chinese walled port city.
This is 15mm terrain, and we will be playtesting Din of Battle 2nd Edition rules for the Piquet Colonial period.
Scenario is a dawn combined arms attack to destroy the Boxers and punish the Imperial Chinese for providing weapons and safe zones for the Boxers. There will be two naval landing forces, backed by naval gunboats, along with two land attack groups. The international forces will be composed of French, Italians, USA, Russians, and British.
Enjoy the eye candy, most of which was made by the great terrain maker: Mal Wright!!!

Potemkin Russian Heavy Batteries Completed
Just got back from Spring break and started back into my Russo-Polish War project.
I painted, based and flocked two heavy gun batteries. (15mm)
Heavy 12# guns from Old Glory SYW range.
Unicorns from Friekorp's SYW gun range (old ORD51 code) - Quick Reaction Force
Potemkin gun crew from Falcon UK (Kai Weaver)
I hope to have a couple Lithuanian and Polish 3# gun batteries completed. The Polish\Lithuanian Commonwealth lacked much in the way of heavy artillery.
